Re: Zone 5b SFGers
Well I guess 5b is where I belong! I feel like I'm much more south than most of you, but none the less, better to be safe than sorry right! No frosty nights on the horizon though so I think I'm going to get the last of my seeds planted this week (more carrots, more lettuce, zuchinni, squash, some herbs, melons, pumpkins (long the house) etc). The in laws commented on how great the garden looks already though. We've got lots starting to sprout - spianch, lettuce, carrots, peas, brussle sprouts (?), cabbage. Got a few seedlings in this weekend - broccoli, eggplant, dill, oregano. My husband has his pile of pots to drill holes in for my flowers, potato planters, strawberry planter and another little herb garden, so hopefully he gets that done this week!
We're excited to start harvesting (I know, a little early). We went to the farmers market this weekend and got some delicious eggplant, tomatoes, and zuchinni and mades grilled eggplant paninis with them. Mmmmm!!! And yesterday I made my first panzanella salad of the year and boy was it good!
