Re: Log In
I used to use mine for this forum but still won't let me login. Recently had a software update and that's about the time I began having issues.
Did you update your software for your iPad recently?

Nope, I have not. Hmmm. According to my iPad, I have 9.3.5 which is up to date!

I haven't canned tomatoes myself yet, in part because, uh, well, Bellestar did horribly for me.
Black Dragon did well, I'll grow it again. It's listed as a plum type, but I don't know whether it fits the traditional paste tomato profile in terms of size and such.
I think I'm trying Amish paste and San Marzano next year to replace Bellestar.

Re: Log In
I planted the Amish Paste a few years back and got some nice tomatoes. My neighbor swears by Super San Marzano but can’t find them in any seed catalogs. Need to figure out were he got them and maybe try a few of them
Don’t think they are heirloom though

Online at least, the seeds companies Burpee, Victory, and High Mowing all have San Marzano tomato seeds. Baker Creek has a version, too. Mine are from "The Cook's Garden", passed along by someone else. They are from 2005 so I'll need to give them a week or two or three head start in the spring. They might germinate given enough time - or that time let's me start fresher seeds of another variety when I normally usually would instead of falling behind.
