Mel's Mix $9
I saw MM for just under $9 per bag at HD over the weekend. I think it usually guess for $12. This was in Chandler. If you are just starting out this us a good way to go.
Update: looks like this is for 1.5 CF. I think the bags I bought at $12 were for 2cf.

Just a heads up. Sent someone to my local HD for Mel's mix. The were told they were sold out and were discontinuing carrying it. Anyone else hear this?

Could it be a seasonal stocking issue? I know your seasons are different, but around here the gardening shelves get cleared out to make room for Christmas stuff.

That thought came to mind also after I posted. Maybe "discontinued" means just for the season. I purchased mel-mix at my local Home Depot this spring. I used it to replace all the soil in my two raised beds.
