As my neighbor says, "Every time I look over at your place I get Garden Envy..." I think there is something that says, "Thou shalt not envy your neighbors garden.." LOL

Speaking for asparagus, a few days ago I was out mowing the back 40 to clean it up a little, and noticed some "wild" asparagus growing in the area where I had previously piled brush trimmings. I occurred to me that apparently over the years when I cleaned the asparagus bed and threw the trimmings on the brush pile some of the seeds fell to the ground and germinated. That area hasn't been used for brush for a number of years, since I purchased a chipper/shredder, and apparently the soil being bare allowed the seeds to sprout and grow. I harvested over a dozen spears from that "new asparagus patch".
