I'm retired and just now decided to start a garden...never too late, as they say. I've built a 4' x 8' elevated bed and am currently adding a mixture to start the planting process. I've already gained a great deal of information from this site already, and am sure I'll be revisiting often. My order from drip works arrives tomorrow, so am excited about that.

Re: Newbie
Welcome, Donj, from Ohio! Sounds like you have some great ideas! Have you read Mel Bartholomew's book, "All New Square Foot Gardening"? It would be a great resource for you.
Also, keep notes and post pictures! We love pictures! Tell us what you are going to grow!
