Error Message!

The stupid thing is back, but now I just go to old mail and click on a PM link. So, where does it come from?

CN, You are using the wrong URL. squarefoot.creatingforum (as shown in that error box) is the old URL which has not worked for months. Hence the error message "server IP address could not be found". This is what I was trying to find out when I asked in my earlier post.

The correct URL is as follows:

https://squarefoot.forumotion.com

I can see that it's wrong, but where did it come from? I have never used anything but the normal login. Now that I realize what's going on, I can work around it, but at first I thought the site was down, since this stupid thing wasn't my doing. Grrr! Evil or Very Mad

I posted this as an alert in case it happens to someone else.

Happens to me sometimes when Google autofills the address field.

Google Chrome lets me bookmark a page and put it on my tool bar. I did that years ago for this site. Even that link had the wrong address. Since I've never even heard of that other site, much less ever visited there, and since those tool bar links should be cast in stone -- not dynamic -- this situation must now go back to the "unsolved mysteries" bucket. CN .... If you bookmarked the address "years ago" it will be the wrong address. Old bookmarks are no longer valid for this forum. The old address for this forum ceased to work months ago. This was a change made by the owners of Forumotion (where our forum is located) not by the admins of this forum. Please use "squarefoot.forumotion.com" and bookmark it. Delete any old bookmarks for the forum. I do not think bookmarked links will change dynamically. Hope that helps.
