garlic varieties
So after listening to a local garden video cast on garlic planting, I became inspired. Locally I could only ever find music variety but wanted more. So, online search came across seeds of diversity and they sell/give garlic bulbils. So for$15 I received 5 varieties with probably close to 100 bulbils. Now to wait the mandatory 657 days to see what I get. Anyone have experience with or use salt spring, wild buff, khabor, fish lake 4 italian or yugoslavian varieties?

Re: garlic varieties
No! I have never heard of them! This will be interesting how they turn out...you will have to keep us posted. Are they hardneck?

Re: garlic varieties
i am presuming they are all hardneck as that is what they were talking about. A quick google search found them all but fish lake 4. Found fish lake 3 so I am presuming a hybrid of some sort but that is only my commentary, based on no fact. In 656 days I will most likely have forgotten about this so you may have to remind me.

Re: garlic varieties
I am so old that I don't buy green bananas, so don't think I'd venture into planting something that takes 657 days to harvest.....

Re: garlic varieties
OK, so I don’t plant seeds of garlic. I plant the whole cloves of hardneck varieties (it’s cold here).
I am not sure and have no experience with seeds of garlic! I think that would take forever.....might not make ya happy?
