SEED SHARING
Hi, very new to SFG, this forum, and seed sharing.
I'm in Zone 5, just outside of Chicago.
Always bought seedlings from the local big box store (ex. Home Depot)
I have no seeds to share, this year. Anyone want to share a couple of seeds with me? Maybe something a little unusual?
So far, everyone local I have told about SFG tells me not to try, it won't work. My husband is the biggest nay-sayer around. He thinks this is an absolutely crazy idea. I don't think so. And thanks to this forum, I am even more enthused than before.
I would like to show them all that they are the ones who are crazy, with a unusual plant or veggie I grew in my SFG.
I don't really want to post my address on the open forum. Maybe mail?? Is that how it is done?
Thank you so much everyone
Dani

We usually PM each other with private information, like real names and addresses. In Illinois I think seeds are started indoors because the summer growing season is shorter than the southern states. That gives a head start instead of direct sowing for heat loving plants. OhioGardener may be able to advise better.Hi, very new to SFG, this forum, and seed sharing.

Learn something every day! I just automatically order seeds in January, after the holidays, so that I am ready for February seed starting.

Re: Seed Exchange - January 2023
Dani, I remailed your seeds Thursday. The little 5"x6" yellow bubble-wrap envelope is now considered a parcel instead of an envelope, and costs $4.52 to mail!! I resent the seeds in a legal white envelope with 2 1st class stamps so there is no reason they shouldn't reach you this time.
Yellow Tumbling Tom Tomato
I'm looking for a few Yellow Tumbling Tom Tomato seeds that I can grow in hanging baskets. Anyone have about 5 of these seeds they could part with?
