Organic compost without peat in Alberta
Good day, I am having a hard time finding compost without peat moss in it. I found Sea Soil which doesn't have any and was wondering if that would be ok to make my mix with? Does anyone know of a good one to use? I am filling 5 raised beds and will need a lot of it.
Here is a picture of the sea soil.

Re: Organic compost without peat in Alberta
It looks like Original Sea Soil does NOT have any post-composting additives like peat moss. Even though it does not label the bags as Compost, it may be a compost. The NPK numbers look appropriate for a compost.
Re: Organic compost without peat in Alberta
I went to the Sea Soil website and clicked on the link for ingredients in Sea Soil, and it says only this:
Our SEA SOIL bags clearly display our only two ingredients: fish and forest fines. Both are the finest ingredients available for composting today. Fish are nature's finest natural source of nitrogen and "forest fines" (an industry term for bark, forest soils, needles etc.) bring to SEA SOIL all the "good bugs" and richness from the forest.
No mention of the percentages of "bark, forest soils, needles etc.", or the fish scraps.
