Is there a date range search? For example, I want all the posts in the Middle South Region for the last 6 months. How would I do that?

Hi Kevin,

For your particular request, you can just go to the Middle South subforum. The topics are listed in reverse chronological order, so you can quickly see that there have only been 2 posts in the last 6 months.

For a more general solution, you can use the advanced search dialog which will allow you to restrict your search to a particular timespan and subforum. However, the board here is indexed only by titles. So you need to search for some actual term mentioned in a title. This is why it is good when making replies to use the "Post title" box to add key words and terms that might help you find the post at some later time.

There is also the google search. The google search uses both titles and text and you can specify custom timespans, but doesn't know about subforums. Also, the google index appears to only be updated once a month or so, so very recent entrees won't show up.
