The pole beans and cucumbers are making the best of the arbor between the raised beds. Both have reached the top, and will soon be competing to see which gets to claim King Of The Hill.
Blue Lake Pole Beans are on the right (east) side, and Marketmore Cucumbers are on the left (west) side of the arbor.
The pole beans are full of blooms, which will soon turn into beans.
The cucumber vines are loaded with cukes.
Meanwhile, the Butternut winter squash are growing over the ground to the west of the arbor beds.

Re: N&C Midwest August 2023
EVERYTHING is really producing right now! I picked a ton of peppers, now I need to figure out what to do with all of them. I will make Cowboy Candy with the jalapeños, probably chili rellenos with the Poblanos, not sure what with the sweet bells yes or sweet bananas—maybe I will try your casserole, OG!
Also got a mess of eggplants, a few cherry tomatoes and beans, one large tomato (a couple had significant slug damage). One pumpkin, the vine is dead, and my first melon! Ginkaku! Having it for lunch! Also got a patty pan squash, and there looked to be a zucchini hiding out there. Will need to water tonight.
Good eating ahead!
