Hi Green:)
Welcome back !!
I am new to this forum this year, March I think. New to SFG this year. I love it wouldnt go back! Well maybe for some things like watermelon and some of those time things I have room for, but with some new ideas I have for those things that trail I will continue in SFG.
Glad to hear from New Zealand !!! I love learning what others do every where!!! Look forward to your gallery pics.

Re Back on the Forum
Hi Green fingers
Welcome back to the forum. There havn't been too many from NZ and Aus on the new forum unfortunately.
I look forward to hearing how your garden is going and seeing some pictures.
The new forum is great with lots of interesting streams.
We don't seem to have near as many pests as in the States and are lucky to be able to garden year round.
I have 128 squares and just starting to put in my spring seeds. Peas and beans up and carrots, silver beet, spinach seedlings going strong.
My winter broccoli, cabbage and cauliflowers nearly finished after a great season. Always have sliver beet and spinach growing.
Cheers Ray

Welcome back
Welcome back to the forum, Greenfingers. This is my first year of SFG after many, many years of row gardening. We put in 56 squares of boxes this spring, along with eight 4' x 10' beds planted in Mel's original style, mainly for vining or really tall crops.
Our younger daughter spent a week in your country in 2000 while attending university as an exchange student near Sydney. (Her university was closed for a month to use as Olympic housing and the "poor" dear was forced to spend her time off traveling around Australia and New Zealand.) She thought NZ was gorgeous!
I look forward to hearing about your summer garden while we are blanketed with ice and snow. It will give us hope that spring will eventually return.

Welcome back Greenfingers. Glad you are able to join us. We have planted part of the fall garden as we continue to harvest the last of the summer crops. Hope you have a wonderful harvest year 'round.
God Bless, Ward and Mary.
